A Sonic Piledriver for you (and news about sheep ...)

It's been a fine year for the General. Superman lost his mojo & the takeover is now close to being completed. The latest sonic piledriver will down sheep at 50 paces. I tried it on my handler, Elite Force's farm which didn't amuse the sullen-faced fool and he chased me down the lane brandishing a breakbeat-shaped screwdriver.

Now you too can own this sonic piledriver. Just don't use it in the vicinity of farm animals or simple people, as they will fall like a pack of cards on a breezy day.

New Zod Remixes hit the floor ...

It's been a busy couple of weeks at the Z()D-ship. The General has not only 're-issued' his seminal 'Rave is King' remix on Coco Machete, but he's also seen fit to beam down not one, but TWO glorious wobble-monsters to the jack-hungry-hoardes.

GET THEM BOTH HERE

First came the Emanul Kosh - Make My Music remix on Electric Sushi. This bad boy comes with full-blown Benny G (yeah, Goodman, hepcats) samples and stormed the Beatport Top 15. Jazzhands were waved around the world and we all joined hands for a bit of moshpit socialising.

Then there was the sitar-twanging electro-techno-bish-bosh-mentalism of the remix of Lee Coombs's pseudo-ethnic 'Punji' on Lot49. For those who don't know, fact-fans, a Punji was a death-pit made out of sharpened sticks, used by the Viet Cong. This sounds a whole load better than you'd feel if you fell into a Punji. Now you know.

Emanul Kosh Remix

Just finished up a really enjoyable two or three days in the studio working on a remix for Emanul Kosh on Electric Sushi. It's been a fun one to work on because it's all based on Benny Goodman trad jazz samples, but with the whomp of the Zod bass & the thump of the MEGADRUMS this one's a surefire roller. Release details aren't yet finalised but you'll find out here, first!

To dem US Rockers

Back from the US in one piece. United Airlines may be the most woeful transatlantic carrier by a distance, but I still managed 6 hours sleep, unhindered by the promise of free booze, entertainment of any kind (2 inch screen filled with static) or anything approaching edible food. Even the stewardesses look like they've been recently exhumed.

Massive shout to the San Diego & LA massives who showed in FORCE this weekend to make my ZC US debut a very special one :)

Sweet Control - Web Exclusive VIP Remix!!

The new Zodiac Cartel Store is now LIVE, and in order to throw you the best possible content, I'm letting go of one of my biggest secret weapons over the past few weeks, my re-working of Sweet Control that's been doing some peaktime damage over the Xmas period. Additionally, you'll find a second bundle available that includes all the REMIX PARTS for Sweet Control for the budding producers & re-editors who want something a little special for their sets.

CLICK FOR STORE

We've also done the same thing with previous singles 'We Don't Play That' and 'Beyond The Dancefloor', with full remix parts available for the first time, exclusively from our store.

All downloads are available in a choice of formats, including WAV, FLAC and high quality MP3.

Post your comments below and be sure to email me any links if you choose to remix any of the tracks. Who knows, if there's something top notch out there it may well find itself officially released on U&A in the future :)

Welcome to my World

V1.0 of the Zodiac Cartel webspace experience is now upon us. There will be an online store set up in the very near future containing originals, VIP mixes, remix parts & assorted radical paraphenalia, so watch this space.

In the meantime, please enjoy the FREE DOWNLOAD we have added. This remix for Pablo Decoder Vs Tim Healey was originally done months ago, but because of various label issues it never saw the light of day and I decided to serve it up as an introduction to eh zodsite. The original will now be released in March on Alex Gopher's label GO4IT with remixes from Gopher himself and Etienne de Crecy.
